Septic Tank Cleaning Frequency

DO have your septic system INSPECTED and CLEANED by a licensed septic tank contractor according to the table below:

Stemmle Septic Tank Pumping Chart

PUMPING YOUR SEPTIC TANK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO TO PROTECT YOUR SEPTIC SYSTEM.

At Stemmle Plumbing we don't just empty it, we really clean it using a high speed agitation process that breaks up the solids in the tank. If a build up of solids in the tank gets too high and solids move into the drainfield, your drainfield will clog and strain your system, causing your drainfield to fail.

We offer a COMPLETE SERVICE which includes:
  1. Simple locating and digging (up to 18" depth) of your tank.
  2. Thoroughly mixing the liquids and solids then Vacuuming out the entire contents of the tank
  3. Technician will then perform a visual inspection of the septic system which will include:
Interior - checking the baffles ( this is to make sure solids are not exiting your tank) and checking the tank for cracks and leaks.
Exterior - Absorption Area ( check for signs of system failure such as odors, mushy spots), surface water ( poor filtration) and check for proper effluent distribution.
  4. If the client is home, having them flush the toilet to make sure the waste is getting to the tank properly.
  5. Verify no waste water is draining back into the tank from the field indicating a saturated drainfield.
  6. Replacing the dirt/ sod to make it look the same as before we arrived.
Our technicians are uniformed and our trucks are equipped with 150 foot hoses so there is no damage to your lawn or landscape. They also have a cherry scent so we leave behind no foul odor.

Ask about the installation of a riser to eliminate future digging. This also helps quickly troubleshoot the system should an emergency arise.
